About me

  • I am an experienced clinical psychologist, practicing since 2000,  working part-time in private practice and part-time in the NHS.
  • I have training and experience in working psychodynamically, as well as in using cognitive-behavioural, compassion-focussed and mindfulness-based techniques.
  • My eclectic training and experience allows me to meet individual need.
  • In my private practice, my focus is on working with people to make better sense of themselves and their difficulties.
  • These include depression, anxiety and relationship difficulties, as well as  Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, stemming from experiences of childhood abuse and neglect.
  • I am trained and very experienced in the use of evidence based treatments for PTSD, including EMDR and Trauma-focussed CBT.
  • In the NHS, I am employed as a highly specialist clinical psychologist at the Traumatic Stress Clinic, Camden and Islington Mental Health Foundation Trust. This is a specialist service and National Centre of Excellence that offers assessment and treatment to adults suffering from the effects of traumatic experiences.
